A heartless crook posed as the carer of a bedbound man in Croydon and removed the victim's mobile phone out of reach before he burgled his home.
Career criminal Martin Maughan, 38, has been jailed for more than four years for the latest burglaries after a spree of offences targeting elderly and vulnerable victims since 1988.
