An elderly driver was rushed to hospital after his car and an ambulance were involved in a "nearly head-on" crash at a set of crossroads in Wallington at the weekend.The ambulance was carrying a patient when the crash happened at about 5.55pm yesterday (Sunday) at the junction of Woodcote Road, Stafford Road and Stanley Park Road.Six emergency vehicles including two further ambulances and two police cars were called to the scene with traffic being affected for more than an hour.READ...
