Glowing tributes have been paid after the death of a beloved dog who spent 15 years volunteering every Wednesday afternoon at Croydon University Hospital.
Since 2002 Hamish, a West Highland Terrier, would put on a yellow jacket and walk round several wards of the London Road hospital, allowing patients to stroke and cuddle him.
Hamish was given numerous awards for his work, including Pat Dog of the Year at Crufts in 2010 and a Daily Mirror Animal Hero Award in 2013.
