More than 100 people attended the funeral of a Special Air Service [SAS] veteran who lived in Croydon.Dean Pursell spent 35 years in the Armed Forces serving in countries including Germany, Malaysia and Cyprus.He died aged 87 on February 7 and his funeral was held at the East London Crematorium, in Plaistow, on March 10, with SSAFA (the Soldiers, Sailors, Air Force Families Association), the Armed Forces charity which Mr Pursell supported, paying for the service.His coffin was led to the...
