A five-storey block of flats had to be evacuated as smoke and fire damaged the building on London Road in Norbury earlier this evening.
The major road had to be closed off as London Fire Brigade tackled the blaze.

A two-bedroom flat in the block was ravaged by fire after the boiler room of the flat caught alight, reportedly due to a fault with the heating tanks inside.
