A chief of Croydon's new waste partnership has ensured the council that bin truck drivers are being "refreshed" on safety measures that are compulsory while operating 26-tonne vehicles after a video appeared to show a man using a phone while behind the wheel.
The Advertiser was sent a video of a council-contracted Veolia lorry being driven by a man who appeared to be talking on his mobile phone.
