Some schools in Croydon are opening late or closed completely this morning due to yesterday's heavy snowfall.
Flurries of snow came down on the borough from about 5pm on Thursday, causing
chaos on roads and rails as traffic backed up on many main roads and some trains were cancelled.
Streets and pavements remain icy this morning as temperatures plummeted overnight to below freezing and it expected to snow again this morning with a yellow weather warning in place.
