Fire crews were called to the blaze on Birchanger Road, in South Norwood, at 3pm today (Tuesday, January 10)
The ground floor of the detached house was damaged in the fire which spread to the stairs of the home.
Two fire engines and 14 officers tackled the blaze, and police and ambulance crews also rushed to the scene.
