Forecasters have warned that Croydon is set for an Arctic blast at the end of this week, which could include sleet and snow, as temperatures plummet.
The Met Office has announced that "wintry showers" are likely to spread across London on Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures in the capital are expected to drop to minus figures by Saturday.
