A South Croydon man who put about a dozen bags of sweets left over from Halloween outside his home for children to take was astonished to see one woman scoop up almost the whole lot.
Michael Rutter, 71, had the sweets in surplus, having failed to shift them all on Monday night as trick-or-treaters came to call, so left them out in two buckets on the wall outside his home in Bines Road.
