A MUM and her son escaped a flat fire in South Croydon this afternoon.Fire crews were called at 2.09pm to a blaze at a three-storey block of flats in Tedder Road.Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers attended the scene and the woman and her son had left the property, without injuries, before they arrived.The crews had the flames under control in about 40 minutes and a second floor flat was partly damaged by the blaze.The cause of the fire is believe to be accidental, said a London...
