Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc have announced they are stepping down as hosts of the Great British Bake Off after the BBC lost broadcasting rights to rival Channel 4.
Croydon-born Perkins and comedy partner Giedroyc, known as Mel and Sue, have presented the show since its inception in 2010.
The show, now in its seventh series, has become a ratings smash, with an average of 13 million people tuning in for last year's final.
