HM Revenue and Customs has signed a deal that will see the tax authority set up a new regional centre in Croydon, with around 2,500 civil servants based in the new Ruskin Square development next to East Croydon station.
It is the first deal to be signed at Ruskin Square, which will feature up to two million square feet of new shops, offices and homes, as well as Boxpark.
